Purpose 15°
The Purpose wasn’t just another lacrosse head—it was a response. After studying the women’s game closely, our team recognized a pattern: most equipment available was simply repurposed from the men’s game, with little innovation tailored to female athletes. Through months of player interviews, performance testing, and engineering breakthroughs, we created something new. The Purpose introduced a patent-pending 15° bottom rail—a design built from the ground up to meet the needs of the modern female athlete. It wasn’t just about solving a performance gap. It was about honoring the game with the respect and specificity it deserves.

The Visual Concept: Designed For The Modern Athlete
Visually, we wanted to match the same level of intention. Inspired by the calm intensity of Golden Hour lighting, we built a look that felt powerful yet elegant. We used matte finishes, neutral tones, and dramatic light to elevate the product beyond sport—it became a sculpture. In action shots, we flipped the perspective: shooting from low angles and dead-on to make athletes feel larger than life. The environments—whether sweeping outdoor landscapes or controlled studio sets—amplified strength, control, and momentum. Every frame was crafted to reflect a new era of the women’s game.

The Product: Game Changing Technology
At its core, the Purpose was a technological leap. As Epoch’s first-ever women’s head, it set a new bar—both visually and functionally. Developed with precision tools like CAD and 3D printing, the head’s unique contour supports a perfect ball channel while meeting NCAA and US Lacrosse standards. The 15° bottom rail moves the ball to the sweet spot at the top of the head, allowing for unmatched control and quicker release. It didn’t just look different—it played different. And that difference could be felt with every pass, catch, and shot.

Purpose Logo and Tagline
A product like this needed a brand identity that carried its weight. The Purpose logo and tagline were crafted to stand as a visual shorthand for what the head represented: performance, intention, and evolution. We avoided clichés and focused on clarity, confidence, and strength. “Play With Purpose” became more than a tagline—it became a mission statement.

Purpose 15°: Game Changing
The technology wasn’t just theoretical—it made an immediate impact. Players noticed the change in feel, accuracy, and confidence. Coaches saw faster releases, control, and more aggressive play. While the Purpose turned heads with its striking design, its true innovation lived in how it elevated the athlete’s performance. It set a new precedent for what women’s equipment could be—and should be.

Play With Purpose
Design was never just about aesthetics. Every angle, line, and surface was crafted to reflect strength and purpose. Whether sitting on a shelf or spinning in the air mid-game, the Purpose commanded attention. It embodied the idea that high-performance tools can be beautiful—and that beautiful tools must perform.
Engineered With Purpose
The real magic of the Purpose lies beneath the surface. Our engineering team used the most advanced tools available—from CAD software to industrial-grade 3D printing—to shape every millimeter with intention. The result? A lacrosse head that performs with such precision, it’s raised the standard across the board. The 15° bottom rail gives players more control over the ball than ever before, allowing for quicker transitions and greater confidence in play. This wasn’t a cosmetic update—it was a true evolution.
Designed With Purpose
Every detail of the Purpose was designed specifically for the women’s game. Not borrowed. Not adjusted. Built from the ground up. Just as the offset head once revolutionized the men’s game, the 15° rail has the potential to shift the landscape for female athletes. This was the moment to create something original, to meet the demands of the modern game—and to move it forward.
Epoch Women
With the launch of Purpose, we saw the opportunity to do more than just release a product—we launched a platform. The Epoch Women blog was created as a space for athletes to share stories, perspectives, and training insights. It wasn’t about marketing; it was about building community. By aligning this platform with the release of the head, we reinforced the message that Purpose isn’t just a product. It’s a movement.

University Of North Carolina
The Purpose made an impression on some of the game’s most elite programs—most notably the University of North Carolina. Known for their dominance in the women’s game, UNC saw immediate potential in the Purpose. Their coaching staff praised its engineering and saw it as a tool that could help win a national title. Within a few short seasons, that prediction came true. UNC claimed the championship, using the Purpose as a cornerstone of their success. The product wasn’t just revolutionary in concept—it became part of championship history.
