Jamie OrtegaL NIL Athlete

In a historic first for the sport, Epoch Lacrosse signed Jamie Ortega—standout attacker at the University of North Carolina and the first female NIL athlete in lacrosse. More than a milestone, this partnership became a launchpad for a new era: one where elite women athletes could lead campaigns, influence gear design, and shape their own legacy. Through strategic press outreach and digital storytelling, we introduced Jamie’s story—and her custom line—to fans across the country.

Leaving a Mark

To anchor Jamie’s identity, we designed a logo that blended her dual worlds: fashion and sport. Built around her initials, the mark was sleek, modern, and confident—just like her playstyle. It became the visual foundation for all her personal branding, equally at home on a hoodie or the sidewall of a custom head.

Final Logo

We explored multiple directions before landing on the final mark—refined, balanced, and unmistakably hers. The final logo paired well with clean type and bold color palettes, allowing it to scale across apparel, trading cards, and retail packaging without losing personality.

Jamie Ortega Trading Cards

As part of her rollout, we designed a set of collectible trading cards capturing her personality, and journey. Visually dynamic and rooted in her aesthetic, the cards added depth to the fan experience—and gave her story a tangible, shareable format.

J.O. Apparel Collection

Designed in close collaboration with Jamie, the J.O. Collection celebrates her passion, skill, and individuality. Each piece—from lifestyle tees to performance hoodies—was built with premium materials and subtle nods to her legacy. The collection gave players and fans a new way to connect with Jamie—not just as an athlete, but as a cultural force within the game.

The J.O. Complete

At retail, we brought the collaboration full circle with the J.O. Complete—a custom stick collection available nationwide at Dick’s Sporting Goods and other key partners. Designed with feedback from Jamie and optimized for female athletes, the collection was more than a product. It was a symbol of representation, excellence, and possibility.
